Katie is the driving force behind Sweet Williams florist.
She came to floristry after working for over 10 years in the Beauty industry. During this time she worked on numerous weddings, providing makeup applications and other services.
After having her two children she found herself needing a new outlet for her creativity, and enrolled on a floristry course at Easton College, Norwich. During her two years of study she fell in love with the design process and soon realised she could turn her new found skills into an exciting business.
She made lifelong friends with her fellow students, which has now become a creative network of talented florists covering the whole of Norfolk.
Her work is very much inspired by the changing seasons and has forged good relationships with local flower growers and suppliers.
During the British growing season she takes much joy from creating unique floral designs using local blooms. She is always happy to assist customers looking for that special something, only British flowers can provide.
She holds regular seasonal workshops, to share her skills with others. These are always full of fun & laughter and are a brilliant way to whet your appetite for a new hobby.
As well as arranging with cut flowers, Katie has deepened her interest and knowledge of plant husbandry. For many years she has been grasped by the quirkiness of succulent plants and cacti. With the help of her handy husband, Joe, a large glasshouse had been created to house her ever growing collection. She has mastered the process of propagation and is excited to soon be able to offer her plants for sale at fairs and markets around Norfolk.
